Have you struggled to share your faith in Jesus Christ with others? Do some of the methods for sharing your faith not fit your personality?
Simply The Story (STS) provides a flexible process to fit all personality types, from shy to gregarious. The full STS training teaches how to dig deep into the Bible, and how to share Bible stories with people you meet. In this series of 12 video episodes, we provide some key lessons from the STS “5-minute conversational” teaching. Along with the teaching, some videos include examples from actual Bible discussions on the streets.
Take time in your daily routines to talk with others wherever you go. The moment you take to talk with another person, could impact their eternity.
We encourage you to learn the Bible story by stopping the video at the end of the story and repeating out loud what you remember. Replay the story again, and repeat out loud again what you remember. Repeat this process several times until you are able to recall the story and its details accurately.
We expect you will have the Bible passage learned accurately within 10 to 15 minutes. Try it!

Our perspective on evangelism can sometimes hinder us from engaging people over the Word of God. Often, we need to challenge ourselves regarding our intentions. In this episode, we share other goals and expectations you can have when discussing Christ with others to help encourage you to get out and take a moment for eternity.
It can be intimidating to start a conversation with complete strangers. And yet, strangers are often blessed when others acknowledge them. In this episode we offer conversation starters, working through some of the discomforts, and the Biblical basis for reaching out to others.
BONUS VIDEO: While producing this series, we also filmed examples “on the streets.” In our bonus feature, we show how we start a conversation with 2 strangers at Starbucks.
BONUS VIDEO: The first step in helping people connect with the Lord is by giving them His Word. Starting a conversation and integrating Bible stories does not have to be intimidating. Many people want to know who God is.
In this episode we will talk about “How do you prepare Bible stories for the streets?” It can be overwhelming to think we need to learn lots of Bible stories for lots of different situations. How many stories should you learn? Where can you practice a story before going ‘to the streets’? These questions will be answered in this episode, and we will show you how to have a short conversation about a Bible story.
To hear the storm story read Mark 4:35-41 or watch the Introduction to this series.
One of the hardest steps in a conversation is integrating a Bible story in the natural flow of discussion. In today’s episode we’ll talk about various openings that allow people to naturally weave a Bible story into the fabric of a dialogue. It may feel awkward at first, but with time, practice and amazing results, this step becomes normal.
This episode teaches people how to implement an often overlooked skill - Listening and Responding. Communication is a two way street that requires just as much active listening as it does clearly communicating what we want. You will be amazed at how many classes exist for teaching these two important skills.
