Simply The Story (STS) Workshop Locations

Below we list STS workshop being held in various locations worldwide. Many workshops are in remote areas or the registrations are instantly full, so not all scheduled workshop are listed. We do post all of the North American workshop locations and dates. After workshops, attendees show a thirst for learning more stories and deeper training, which has lead to the establishment of Oral Bible Schools. In these OBSs, students gather periodically to learn over 200 stories.

Schedule Options

One-Stop Workshop Schedules: These are needed for new areas where there are not yet local STS instructors. Out-of-area instructors, sometimes even out-of-country instructors, converge to lead a 35-hour schedule. This very full schedule is often called “drinking out of a bucket.”

Local Workshops: Our goal and prayer is to have enough local instructors available all over the world so that STS instructors are able in-person to teach and hand off the STS skills a bit at a time. Local Workshops are done in short sessions of three weekends or in even smaller meetings spread out over six weeks (three-hours, once a week). These schedules allow attendees to gain new information and practice their skills some, before they receive more information.

For Local Workshops, attendees do not have to travel far or stay overnight so there is little or no cost to anyone for food or housing. Some cities in the world have already enough qualified STS instructors available to lead these Local Workshops or to host STS Story Practice gatherings. A few of those cities are listed below within the Upcoming World Workshop information.

Contact the regional leadership or USA office for information on hosting a vision casting or local workshop in a listed city. Check the guidelines for hosting a full One-Stop Practitioner/Trainer 35-hour workshop in a region where no local instructors are yet available.

Vision Casting: Also in these “staffed” locations, STS vision castings can be done. Vision casting covers the need for oral strategy, how STS meets that need and the demonstration of an STS story. These vision castings can be done in anywhere from ten minutes to one day. The longer option allows attendees an opportunity for hands-on learning of digging into a story as well as a glimpse into the how-to of STS.
